Jazzie
Jazzie came from a rough start. She was born in a home where she and her litter were abandoned in the middle of winter. Several people stepped in to help the animals, but not all ended up in good hands. Jazzie was adopted, then left behind again when that person moved. She landed in animal control, and that’s when we got involved.
She’s a little shy, but once she starts to trust you, she gets the happiest wiggles and even does a little dance. She loves being talked to, especially when you sing or tell her how pretty she is. She’ll smile when she knows you're talking to her.
Her mom was a lab. Dad might’ve been a heeler or collie - hard to say. We think she’s under a year old and will be getting spayed soon. She’s currently in with a puppy named Moose and doing well. Adult dogs have been a bit much for her so far, but with time, she might warm up. Right now, she just needs patience and a calm place to land.
Once she settles in, Jazzie is the kind of dog who’ll stay close. She wants to be around people but she’s just still learning how to feel safe.
